From the 8th of March till the 20th of July, Palazzo Strozzi will be hosting a new exhibition about Pontormo and Rosso Fiorentino, the first one dedicated to the most unconventional and original painters of the Sixteenth Century in Florence.
Working for the Medici, Pontormo was always open to renewal and innovation, while Rosso Fiorentino, more tightly bound to tradition, showed a very original stamp. This will be a unique event that will bring together masterpieces collected from Italy and from abroad alike. Some of them will be restored right for the occasion and will be displayed for the first time.
